About Me
As a Black woman, it is typical to be underrepresented, especially when it comes to healthcare. I have a deep-rooted commitment to combating systemic racism within healthcare and promoting equitable health outcomes for marginalized communities. I have experienced firsthand the disparities and injustices prevalent in healthcare systems, motivating me to seek out spaces dedicated to addressing these issues head-on.
My decision to join CARHE has been fueled by a desire to contribute my expertise, experiences, and perspectives to a community actively engaged in advocacy, research, and actions against racial inequities in health. Understanding the urgent need for antiracist frameworks and policies in healthcare. I have chosen to align myself with a center dedicated to dismantling structural barriers and fostering inclusive practices that prioritize the well-being of individuals, regardless of ethnicity, race, gender, or sexual identity.
I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Political Science at Wingate University.
