About Me

I am a health researcher driven to build a more just world. While studying at the University of California Los Angeles, I had the opportunity to examine the relationship between structural racism and health, especially how voter suppression is an understudied form of structural racism that has direct consequences for health. There, I learned about Dr. Hardeman's work in measuring and operationalizing racism, as well as the work CARHE was doing to put this research into action.

It was a dream to come to CARHE to be able to continue this work with an amazing team of researchers and activists. My current research focuses on democratic power and voter suppression, police violence, and the measurement of structural racism.

I earned my BA in Psychology and Anthropology at the University of Notre Dame, my MPH in Health Behavior & Health Education at the University of Michigan, and my PhD in Community Health Sciences at the University of California Los Angeles.
